If you do not have the Developer tab at the top of your Excel, follow this video to add the Developer tab. Click the ribbon on the top of your Excel file > click Customize the Ribbon… > select Developer from the Main Tabs group > click OK. Once you have the Developer tab, click it then click Visual Basic. The Visual Basic code editor will appear.

You can always click ALT + F11 to open the VBA code editor as well.
